If you’re living with pain, a free pharmacist-led program can help. Whether you have a chronic condition or have recently become injured, you shouldn’t have to live with pain or side effects from your medication. Fortunately, a free pharmacist-led program is available to help you effectively manage your pain and get back to living your best life.

Medications can be an important part of an effective pain management strategy, but navigating their usage can be difficult. As you get older, your body changes and you may respond to medications differently or become more sensitive to certain drugs. Finding a combination that works to manage your pain can be frustrating and stressful. You may be wondering about different medication options or dosages, while also battling side effects, when all you want is to feel like yourself.

Fortunately, you don’t have to face medication frustrations alone. The UBC Pharmacists Clinic offers the support of pharmacists who can work with you to create a personalized pain management plan that helps you get back to feeling your best. Individuals can self-refer to this free program, and since it’s available by phone or video, anyone in British Columbia can sign up.

In each one-on-one appointment, you’ll work with your pharmacist to assess the progress of your pain management plan and discuss any concerns or questions. Pharmacists will then work with other members of your health care team, like your doctor or nurse practitioner, to recommend changes in medications or dosages as needed.

British Columbians interested in seeking assistance with pain management or other medication-related concerns can self-refer to the UBC Pharmacists Clinic. Appointments are available in-person, via telephone, or through video calls. To schedule an appointment, individuals can contact the clinic at 604 827-2584 or book online.
