New service helps you better manage your medications
Tuesday, Sep 28, 2021UBC Pharmacists Clinic offers MRBT members free 1:1 consultations with expert pharmacists to help you get the best possible results from the medications you take.
If you take five or more medications per day, or don’t really understand why you’re taking the medications you’ve been prescribed, the experts at the UBC Pharmacists Clinic at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences may be able to help you.
The UBC Pharmacists Clinic is a free resource that can help you better understand and manage your drug therapies. The pharmacists do not prescribe medications or fill prescriptions. Instead, their expert team of pharmacists will work with you, your physician, and the rest of your health care team to ensure you get the best possible results from the medications you take.
During your 1:1 consultation your pharmacist will listen to your health concerns, help you solve any medication problems you may have, and ensure each medication you take is effective, safe, and well-tolerated.
You will be provided with a complete picture of how all your medications are working for you and a detailed care plan for you to take away. The clinic offers regular follow-up appointments to track your progress and answer any additional questions you may have.
