Share the Care Voting Guidelines
A member's guide to helping direct $50,000 to community health in BC.
You Direct the Giving
For 15 years, the Pacific Blue Cross Health Foundation has funded charities that keep British Columbia and the Yukon healthy. For our anniversary, we are inviting you – our members – to help decide where the funding goes.
Five community health organizations, each previously supported by the Foundation, are sharing $100,000 in anniversary grants. Every organization is guaranteed $10,000. The remaining $50,000 is directed by your votes. The more votes an organization receives, the larger its share.
It takes about two minutes, and you can vote once every day of the voting period.

Voting Rules at a Glance
| Rule | Detail |

| One vote per day | You can vote once each calendar day (Pacific Time) from November 3 to November 24. Come back tomorrow and vote again. |
| One organization per vote | Each vote goes to a single organization. You can choose the same one every day or spread your votes around. |
| Votes are final | Once you select “Cast vote”, that day’s vote cannot be changed or withdrawn. |
| Email address | The email you enter is used only to make sure each person votes once a day. It will not be used for Pacific Blue Cross marketing unless you opt in to email communications, and it is not shared with the partners. |
| No incentives | Nobody may offer or accept a reward for voting, and you should not be asked to. |
| No live standings | We will not publish a running tally or ranking during voting. Everyone finds out together on December 1. |
| Fair play | Bots, scripts, multiple email addresses, shared logins, and any attempt to get around the daily limit will lead to votes being removed. |
Frequently Asked Questions
The “Vote now” link carries a short-lived security key that proves you are a signed-in member. It expires after a few minutes and works only once, so a bookmarked, forwarded, or screenshotted link will not open the vote. If you see the message “Voting is for Pacific Blue Cross members only”, sign in to Member Profile and select “Vote now” again.
Yes, spouses with their own Member Profile can vote.
