Help dreams take flight: Night of Wonders Online Auction ends June 10

Tuesday, Jun 9, 2020

This year, the premiere fundraising event for Make-a-Wish—the Night of Wonders gala—has been postponed due to COVID-19. But what hasn’t changed is the desire to grant travel wishes for children diagnosed with life threatening health conditions when it’s safe to travel again.

Instead, Make-a-Wish (unified with Children’s Wish) has transformed its gala into the Night of Wonders Online Auction, a virtual event that runs from June 4 – June 10, 2020. Pacific Blue Cross is the presenting sponsor.

The Night of Wonders online auction offers over 150 items to bid on, in categories as wide ranging as food and beverage, wellness, sports, products and services, jewelry, travel, and experiences such as having a Maserati for a weekend, VIP shopping at Holt Renfrew, and winter storm watching at the Wickaninnish Inn.

Every dollar raised will go to granting wishes and giving hope to a child who needs it most. See the full list of auction items and register now at wishauction.ca. All BC residents are eligible to participate.

A dream comes true for Jesse

Jesse was diagnosed with Mature B-cell Burkitt’s Lymphoma when we was 10 years old, and spent 76 days straight in hospital undergoing intense chemotherapy. He’s 13 now, in remission, and getting stronger every day.

We’re excited to share that, on behalf of our members, we are helping to make Jesse’s dream come true: to attend Tech Camp at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, MA. Here’s Jesse’s story.

And, we’ll continue to be there to provide children and their families with the travel insurance they need for their trips—just as we have for over 25 years.
