Government of Yukon launches new Yukon Dental Program to be administered by Pacific Blue Cross.

The Yukon Dental Program will help fill the gaps in dental care coverage for many low-income, uninsured individuals and families living in the Yukon. Eligible patients can receive coverage to relieve pain and infection, prevent disease, treat cavities and restore chewing and social function. It will also offer full coverage for preventive care, such as routine dental cleaning.

“We are thrilled to be starting this new partnership with the Government of Yukon to improve health equity,” says Sarah Hoffman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Pacific Blue Cross. “We have a deep knowledge and understanding of administering government plans in British Columbia, and we look forward to extending our expertise to improve health and wellbeing with the new Yukon Dental Program.”

For the best claims experience, Pacific Blue Cross is encouraging all dental providers in the Yukon to register to both the national claims platform CDAnet, and the Pacific Blue Cross provider benefit platform, PROVIDERnet. Through these online tools, dental providers will be able to submit claims electronically, search member eligibility and benefits, set up bank direct deposit, and view claims statements online. Here is a step-by-step guide to register with Pacific Blue Cross.
