Health and Dental Predetermination Statements are Going Paperless
Thursday, Oct 17, 2024To reduce waste and increase security, Pacific Blue Cross will no longer send health and dental provider predetermination statements by paper mail.
This change will come into effect on October 10, 2024, and will apply to health and dental providers who have both registered for PROVIDERnet and set up direct deposit.
For dental providers, this change will only be applicable in cases where the provider would usually submit a predetermination for their patients. This includes MSDPR and FNHA plan members.
What’s changing in PROVIDERnet?
From October 10, health and dental provider predetermination statements will be available to view and download within PROVIDERnet.
To accommodate this change, some of the labels within PROVIDERnet have been amended. The Claims Statement page is now the Statements page.
Will providers be notified by email when a predetermination statement is ready to view?
No, providers will not be notified when new statements are available.
In order to view a statement, providers will need to sign in to their PROVIDERnet account and click on Statements from the home page, or click on the Claims tab and select Statements.
On the Statements page, providers will need to select the statement type that they are searching for.
They will then need to select the correct provider location, the practitioner (if applicable), and the date range. They will then need to click Retrieve to view the relevant statements.
